Fancy Food Show at Moscone Center in San Francisco 2011

Artisan Candies exhibited at the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco this year, and did very well with strengthening existing business relationships, while making new connections and unveiling new products for 2011. Salted Caramels and Pecan Toffee were the biggest stars at the booth, followed by the Lady Caramel Apples (not new, but featured in our displays), Mint Bark, and our Creamy Pralines. We are very excited about following up on our new leads, which promise to expand our brand across the country, and maybe even into some new ones!

A couple of new trends that we saw at the show were unusual foods using black pepper, the ghost pepper, and coconut. The trend of using bacon in just about everything is still strong, and will continue this year. New tea companies that use sustainable methods and support the local communities in Bangladesh and other tea-growing regions were highlighted as well. Look for Artisan Candies to come up with some new twists on our candies using black pepper, and maybe even bacon.... (Yes, I said it here first). Happy 2011!

New Products Offerings -Summer/Fall 2009

We have added a new category to our offerings..."Things on Sticks"! After the sweet success of our S'mores on a Stick, we have taken the concept of "things on sticks" and applied them to some of our other candies. Caramel Pops, and Fudge pops in chocolate, brown sugar and peanut butter flavors, are some of our newest offerings, which are all perfect for grab-and-go, or special events where you need "just enough" of a great candy with a pretty presentation.

We are also proud to present two new additions to our famous handmade caramel line. Our first is the all-family favorite, Artisan Caramel Apples. We use our signature caramel to dip fresh granny smith apples, and we have another version with the addition of chopped pecans. Nothing else gets in the way of that perfect caramel apple flavor combination, as we do not cover it up with chocolate, candies, marshmallows or other unnecessary ingredients. Order yours today, and we think you'll agree that there is no better tasting caramel apple.

Our second new caramel offering is one that was years in the making. For a long time now, people have been asking us to create a matching caramel sauce that has the same flavors as our signature caramel. Well... we've done it! Our new caramel sauce will be available for sale at the Northern California Renaissance Faire, atop crisp granny smith apple slices. We are looking into possible solutions for putting our new sauce into jars, and will update you as we go. In the meantime, you may be able to purchase small quantities on-site at our new manufacturing facility in San José, California, at 4432 Pearl Avenue. Please call ahead for availability and pickup.
